Rules for 2010 Online Senior Idol Talent Contest
ELIGIBILITY:
Contestants must have reached their 50th birthday by the start date of the contest. The New contest will begin January 1st 2010.

RULES AND REGULATIONS:
- This is an online competition. The contest will take place on this website. First you must register for SeniorIdol.com by clicking the "new" button on the home page and enter your information. (If you don't already have a video of your performance, you must create one). Then all you have to do is upload your video to this site. The upload process is completely automated and easy to do. Just click on the “Senior Idol Talent Contest" button on the home page, and follow the instructions to “upload” your video. You will be prompted to select a file from your computer to upload. The video must be in
one of the following file formats: MPEG (.mpeg), Quicktime (.mov), Windows (.avi and .wmv), or Flash 7 (.flv); and webcam.
- You must upload your video to our website between January 1st. 2010 and June 30th 2010. You can also send your video
performance via email to Contest@SeniorIdol.com and we will take care of it for you. Videos can be submitted by other parties on behalf of performers, but only the performers will receive the prizes.
- Solo and group performances are acceptable.
- There is a five (5) minute performance limit.
- All performances must be clean, respectful and family friendly. Lyrics or subject matter that SeniorIdol.com deems
inappropriate to our audience will be screened out or disqualified. All entries are subject to “peer review” screening.
Peer Reviewers are dedicated site members selected to screen all video submissions.
- Only one video submission will be accepted per contestant or group.
- Lip-synching is prohibited.
- Performance attire is required.
- Proof of age and identity will be verified at a later time.
- By participating in the competition, you authorize SeniorIdol.com to use your video performance for news and promotional
purposes.
- Finalists may be invited to participate in a live event.
PARTICIPATING COUNTRIES / REGIONS:
This competition is based in the United States. However, contestants from all nations worldwide are invited to
participate.
JUDGING:
- Performances will be judged by SeniorIdol.com site members and visitors as well as the SeniorIdol.com Judges.
- Performances will be evaluated considering the following categories: Talent, Presentation, charisma, vitality and overall Performance.
- Performances will be scored using a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being highest score.
The 10 highest rated contestants will be selected for final judging by the Panel. (The site user ratings will be weighted 75%. Senior Idol rating will be weighted 25%). The Panel of judges will vote to select
three winners: 1st place, 2nd place, and 3rd place.
- SeniorIdol.com shall be the sole authority in resolving all disputes and may disqualify any contestant at any level of
the competition for failure to comply with the rules and regulations.
PRIZES:
Prizes are listed below. Additional prizes may be added by our sponsors as the competition
progresses:
First Prize: $500 worth of cash & prizes
Second Prize: $300 worth of cash & prizes
Third Prize: $150 worth of cash & prizes
All 10 finalists will receive a SeniorIdol.com T-shirt.
Contest may be postponed or cancelled if minimum number of contestants (10) is not achieved.
Final Rules are subject to change at the discretion of Senior Idol.
